The Center for Anxiety and Depression Treatment of Houston is dedicated not only to providing the highest quality evidence-based practice in patient care, but also to remaining active in the field of reseach in order to find and promote the most effective care possible.  We are currently participating in the following studies:

Self-Compassion

(Study A)
How much do you care?
Self-compassion in Obsessive Compulsive Disorder

Help us as we examine the relationships between self-compassion, mood,
and response styles in OCD. If you are over 18 years of age and have
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, you may participate in this study. Participation is completely anonymous. Your information will never be sold or shared
and is only for research purposes. This study is a part of a research

Compulsive Hoarding

The Center for Anxiety and Depression Treatment of Houston is conducting a research study on Group Cognitive Behavior Therapy for Compulsive Hoarding in collaboration with Jordana Muroff, PhD, MSW, and other researchers at Boston University.  If you suffer with compulsive hoarding an would like to participate in this study, please contact Patty Smith-Hart, RN, PMHNP, at 713-647-6777 for more information

Houston OCD Support Group


Dr. Hart and Patty co-lead the Houston OCD Support Group.  This is a free support group for "sufferers" of any OCD spectrum disorder as well as their family members.  Family members may attend without their OCD sufferers.  The group is held from 7-9 pm on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month at the
Houston OCD Program, 1401 Castle Court, in the Montrose area
of Houston.  (This is not a study/research group.)
