Dialectical Behavior Therapy Skills Group
The Center for Anxiety and Depression Treatment of Houston holds a women's DBT group once weekly.  This group is especially helpful for those who have trouble regulating their emotions and difficulties in relationships.  The group is two hours long and focuses on the four core strategies of DBT as designed by Marsha Linehan, PhD.  The four core strategies of DBT are Mindfulness, Emotion Regulation, Distress Tolerance, and Interpersonal Relationships.  Participants are required to also participate in regular individual therapy to join this group.  Please call Patty Smith-Hart, RN, PMHNP at 713-647-6777 if you are interested in joining this group.

Compulsive Hoarding Group
A group for those who suffer with compulsive hoarding is in the process of being formed with tentative plans to begin in August 2010.  Please call Patty Smith-Hart, RN, PMHNP at 713-647-6777 for more information if you are interested in joining this group.


OCD Support Group
Dr. Hart and Patty co-lead the Houston OCD Support Group.  This is a free support group for "sufferers" of any OCD spectrum disorder as well as their family members.  Family members may attend without their OCD sufferers.  This support group is held from 7-9 pm on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month at the Houston OCD Program, 1401 Castle Court, in the Montrose area of Houston.
